Valentine Eve

I'm not particularly excited about V day, well, because I am single. But I guess rather than being bitter about being single on Valentine, it's better to change my mood with drawing something inspired by Valentine.

I said this illustration inspired by Valentine, but aside from the hearts rain and the pink costume of the ballerina girl, it's not really Valentine-y at all (is Valentine-y a word?).

I don't know why I decided to draw a chubby ballerina in the middle of raining hearts, it's just so random, but I did singing "Pennies from Heaven" in my head while doing this doodle.

Regardless, I think she looks cute. With this chubby ballerina, I wish you to have a happy Valentine

Art is the way

My day wasn't really great, so I though doodling might cheer me up.

Well, it does or rather than cheer me up, it made me calm.

Joyeux Noel

Christmas time is here! And what is the best Christmas Dessert? For me, it has to be the Buche de Noel!

Also known as yule log because it looks resemble a wood log, this roll cake covered with chocolate cream which textured with a fork to give it a realistic look. It's totally delicious! For me, it also hold a fond memory when I was celebrating Christmas with my friends, we made this cake together and it taste absolutely delicious, even more with the presence of my friends.

I live in a tropical country, so, I longed to experience White Christmas. I remember reading "The little match girl" when I was still a child, and since then, I've been wanting to see and feel snow. But of course I don't want to die in the snow like the girl in the story did.

Another tale that makes me want to experience snow more is Narnia. I love the movies, and I absolutely love the scene where Jadis, the snow queen riding her sleigh ride. The white scenery and powdery snow make me really envious with people who live in a four seasons country.

That's it, because I don't need to say anything, you simply just have to watch it to experience the AWESOMENESS.

Here is a fanart of one of the character. The only girl fighter in The Raid, HAMMER GIRL!!!

I did this on a whim, just scribbeling when all of sudden, Hammer Girl pop to my brain and here's the result.

Portrait

Currently I'm in love with TOm Hiddleston. I love him so much, I made him a fan art

It also for my drawing portrait practice. I really had fun drawing him, I love looking at his photos, he's not your average hot guy, no, with a glance I won't considered him or Benedict Cumberbatch as a hot guy. But They have this kind of charm and also amazing talents that make me fall in love with them.

another portrait practice. Have you ever heard about Tom Lehrer? He's a pianist, a satirist and also a mathematician. I love his works, they are so entertaining and funny although his creations are usually dark. I think he's a genius. this is him in his youth.

I just scribbeling these two when I'm bored. I experimented with marker

Alohaaaaa!!!

It's already October. Currently, I'm working as a freelance illustrator and graphic designer. I really enjoy my everyday life. I can do what I want to do and I really love doing illustrations for children.

I got ordered to drew a Hawaiian girl with an Indonesian girl in traditional clothes. Because this is work, of course I can't publish it here.

But, after heard the word of Hawaii, I can't help thinking about a pretty and flirty hula girl. So, I drew one just to have fun

I did it with SAI Paint tool.

I'm back!

I just got back from my vacation. I went to Bali with my two best friends. It was a really fun trip and Bali is such a beautiful island.
We went to Pure (Hindu's sacred place for pray), there are so many of them with the traditional and unique architecture. And of course, the beaches! They are really beautiful, we burnt ourselves because we played too much.

When I got back, I'm back to the reality. I'm a college student who's got her final project in front of her. I can't help but feel stressful. So, I draw. Just for fun, but if I think about it, it's not just about fun. It's a practice for me to face my final project. Afterall, I chose illustration as my theme. I'm going to do illustrations for a book called True Love by Robert Fulghum. The stories inside the book are really heartwarming and sweet. So I hope I can do my best to make illustrations as heartwarming as the stories.

Searching a style for my final project. I want to draw something heartwarming and cute. Is this a good style for my final project? I'm still searching.
Realist practice. This is a portrait of my father. My mother said it doesn't resemble him much. I made the eyes too small
Portrait of my mother. Even I don't think this resemble her, I made her face too round. I think I won't show her this picture. I think this picture resemble my late grandmother more instead of my mother. Well, my grandmother is the mother of my mother so they should resemble each other right? So I don't think this is a total failure

Happy valentine... NOT!!!

Let's make it quick, it's valentine and I don't feel like drawing something sweet and pinky. So who are the most romantic yet dark couple? There are morticia and gomez, Victor and Emily and of course Jack and Sally.

In the end I choose Jack and Sally as my favourite couple.

My version of jack and sally. I still wish to improve my digital painting skill.

Well, there's no valentine for me. I now have to deal with my final assignment and God! I'm dying here... there's so much to do yet I don't know how to.
That's pretty much how I am right now

My brain is in chaotic state and there's still one more proposal for me to write.

Oh, well... now I will have a date with my final project...

Coffee Break

Experimenting with textured paper.

SAI

I've been struggling with line art.
I can't do it neatly! It depressed me.

My friend suggest me to use Paint SAI for line art. Yeah, it's easier but I still can't do it right

Foodism

So, yesterday was my day out with my friend/neighbour. We both loooove food! So, we did a bit of culinary conquest (well, not a bit actually, it was a terrible yet delicious sin we did on our diet...).

We were in the mood for sushi, so we went to my favourite japanese restaurant, Hachi Hachi. Apparently my friend also like that restaurant but never tried anything besides their sushi, which is really delicious by the way. So, I suggest her to try my favourite dish from that restaurant which is called bistro rice.

Bistro rice contained one portion of rice with three tempura shrimps, bulgogi, stir fried vegetables, three pieces of onion ring and two yakitori (meat on a skewer).  It's really delicious! And I guessed right, she absolutely love the dish!

In the evening, we stopped by at a little cafe called areli which I visited once long ago. I suggest her to go to that cafe because I love their apple pie and there's another reason that is not so pure...

The cafe owner is a really handsome guy!

My friend got really spirited after I told her that. And fortunately, the owner was there. We almost let our squeal out. But besides the handsome owner, the food is really good and the atmosphere is really nice. Such a cute little cafe. I really love it there.

Apparently my friend  fell in love with the apple pie too. She keeps on rambling about how she wants to eat it again.

Well, it was a good day. Now I must work hard to lose the fat I gained (sigh)

The feeling of touching a pencil and paper can't be replaced by anything.

Bye Summer!

I live in a tropical country, the irony is, I really don't like the heat !
Sure we're blessed with beautiful nature, pretty beaches,  tasty foods, delicious exotic fruits and many else, but I really can't stand the heat!

Also, Christmas is approaching, I can't tell how jealous I am to those who can experience white Christmas, snuggle in a blanket in front of the fire place while drinking hot chocolate or egg nog. Going outside to play with the snow and making snowman.

I loooveee my country, but for once in a lifetime, I want to experience white christmas.

Well, there's no snow, but at least it's finally rain season, it's a little bit cooler.
I love rain, some people feel gloomy with the dark sky and the cold weather, for me, it's a blessing from above.

So, for a while, goodbye summer! I don't really like you but at least, there are fun things to do in summer. With this illustration, I bid summer goodbye!
