Art is the way

My day wasn't really great, so I though doodling might cheer me up.

Well, it does or rather than cheer me up, it made me calm.

Dream wedding dress

I really should be finishing my novel. But I can't help myself to drew some scribble with my tablet.

It's just a quick doodle and I'm no fashion designer. But I really think if I ever get married, I would love to wear something like this. A simple dress with flowy garment and a little bit of vintage touch, decorated with pearls and just enough beads to make it sparkle.

A Fairy Tale by me

So, I've been trying to finish my novel. It's a fantasy novel with princess, prince, king and queen in it. I love fairy tale, that's why I tend to write my novel to be a nice and simple fairy tale instead of the complicated one like the game of throne series.

Even though that's my intention, to write a novel is no easy task. Currently I'm on the page 217, I can picture the scenes about how it should go on in my head, but it's really hard to put it in the right words and I've been stuck for a while.

SO, instead of continuing my writing, today I drew an illustration of  a scene in the beginning of my unfinished novel. The little princess and her little attendant.

I tried to do the messy style coloring. Lately I've been takin a liking to this style. It's messy yet still looks nice.

Be sweet like sugar

First illustration in 2015! Did it with drawing pen and faber castell colored pencils.

It turns out, the song "Sugar" from Kerli is still in my favourite list. The melody is a bit unusual, I didn't like it the first time, but then I got addicted to the song, just like I addicted to sugar.

There's no innapropriate words in the song and yet, the song still give the guilty vibe. The lyric is full with sweet, sexual innuendos. In my opinion this song is about how an innocent girl experienced her first "sugar", and then it turn out that she likes it, and crave for more.

I don't know why, but this song reminds me of the novel "Lolita" by Vladimir Nabokov.

So here again, another illustration inspired by the song. I intended to draw the girl with blonde hair, just like Kerli. But, I think just one color is boring and because Kerli herself often play with crazy colors with her hair and can still pull it off, I decided to use numerous colors for the hair. After it's done, I realize that she look like Stocking from the anime "Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt". If anyone is curious, please do watch it, it's an awesome show, but remember that it's not for kids.
